RIGHT TO PLAY
NATIONAL INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER SERIES & PLAY ACADEMY FACILITATOR
My experience working with the global, non-profit organization 'Right To Play' began in 2010, when I volunteered with them during the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. Since then, I have worked with Right To Play in a number of roles/capacities - interning in the Development & Special Projects fundraising division in 2012, leading a nation-wide speaker series in schools across Canada with professional/Olympic Athlete Ambassadors in 2013, and delivering workshops to thousands of Canadian students on how to lead/play Right To Play games in 2014 and 2016.
NATIONAL INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER SERIES:
In 2013, I participated in a 6-week ‘National Inspirational Speaker Series’ for Right To Play, and delivered an experiential presentation to 15,000 students in 46 schools across Canada. Our focus was on advocating for every child’s ‘right to play’, while raising awareness about the organization, and promoting the importance of a healthy active lifestyle.
PLAY ACADEMY FACILITATOR:
As a follow-up to the speaking series, I worked as a ‘Play Academy Facilitator’ in 2014, and again in 2016, delivering leadership workshops to various youth populations across Canada.
